Head of Operations
About the Role
We're seeking a Head of Operations to build and scale the operational foundation of Autonomy. This is a leadership role where you'll oversee compliance, partnerships, customer operations, and general business operations as we grow.
You'll work directly with the founding team to ensure we can scale efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity to shape how a fintech startup operates from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Build and lead our operations team as we scale
- Oversee regulatory compliance (state and federal requirements)
- Manage relationships with banking and brokerage partners
- Develop and optimize operational processes and workflows
- Own vendor management and contract negotiations
- Establish customer support operations and quality standards
- Monitor operational metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with legal counsel on compliance matters
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 7+ years of operations experience, with 3+ in leadership
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or highly regulated industry
- Track record of building and scaling operations teams
- Strong understanding of startup dynamics and rapid growth
Skills
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Vendor and partnership management
- Process design and optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have
- Experience with SEC, FINRA, or state financial regulations
- Background in wealth management or investment advisory
- Experience at a high-growth startup
- MBA or JD
